The state BJP is yet to decide the Leader of the Opposition in Karnataka where Congress emerged victorious in the May 10 elections.

The Congress on Saturday announced its third list of 43 candidates for the May 10 Assembly polls in Karnataka, and turned down the request of senior leader and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to contest from the second seat - Kolar.

Karnataka Minister B Sriramulu on Tuesday said he wants to see Congress leader Siddaramaiah become the state's Chief Minister again.

The Congress party in Karnataka has boycotted the Business Affairs Committee (BAC) meeting of the Assembly during the legislature session that began on Thursday. The Congress has accused the state's ruling party of unilaterally deciding the schedule of the House.

With differences cropping up between ruling coalition partners in Karnataka over budget presentation and other issues, senior leaders of the Congress and the JDS will meet in Bengaluru on Sunday to settle differences.
