Congress Websites Hacked

The website of actor Kamal Haasan's political party, Makkal Needhi Maiam, has been hacked, the party said. The cyber attack on www.maiam.com came to light after a post on the site said the party would be merged with the Congress.

After the hacking of Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account, followed by a breach of the Congress's account, its website and server, the party deactivated the accounts of 200 leaders because of "suspicious activity" on Thursday evening.

The Trinamool Congress' website was today hacked with the hackers posting on it a quote from party chief Mamata Banerjee that she is a Maoist.

Hacker group Anonymous on Tuesday brought down for a few hours the websites of the Supreme Court and the Congress party. On its twitter account, they posted "Namaste #India, your time has come to trash the current government and install a new one. Good luck. | #SaveTPB#Anonymous #Censorship"

Hackers broke into the official website of India's ruling Congress party on Friday and defaced the profile page of party president Sonia Gandhi with a pornographic message.
