The son of Haryana police officer Surender Singh, who was allegedly run over by a dumper truck during a raid against illegal stone mining in Nuh district last year, will be appointed as a deputy superintendent of police on compassionate grounds.

One of the killers of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal had links with Pak-based terror groups and had 10 Pak numbers on his phone, sources said. Five more have been detained in the case, which is being handled by the National Investigation Agency.
