Amid ongoing diatribe against Communist Party of India, the opposition Left Democratic Front's second largest partner in Kerala, Communist Party of India (Marxist) State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan today objected to Communist Party of India's suggestion that the front be expanded by readmitting parties that had left it.

In an embarrassment to LDF, CPI Kerala state secretary C K Chandrappan today blamed CPI (M) politburo member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan for not demanding resignation of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy after a vigilance court ordered a probe to ascertain whether he had any role in the pamolein import case last year.
