Often the butt of criticism, Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi, when grilled by the international media on Saturday, was defensive and combative. And though he took moral responsibility for the mess ahead of the event, he passed the buck to other agencies and said the venues should have been handed over to him earlier.
