The adverse publicity of the Commonwealth Games has badly affected the Ayurvedic and Medical Tourism industry, which was expected to be the largest beneficiary of the event, said the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit on Tuesday launched a battery-operated rickshaw, "E-rick", sponsored by cellular services provider Vodafone Essar, to promote eco-friendly transportation in the city ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

World record holders will get a week's free stay in Himachal Pradesh if they visit during the Commonwealth Games in October, an official said.
