The boss of social media platform Telegram has been arrested in France, accused of allowing the sharing of illegal content.

France held the Russian-born founder of Telegram Pavel Durov in custody for a second day of questioning on Monday over alleged offences related to the popular but controversial messaging app, which insisted he had "nothing to hide".

A study on kids' cybersecurity by Surfshark reveals some alarming details about online crimes against children. As per the study, six out of ten children aged between 8 years to 12 years are exposed to cyber risks online. In 2020, yearly financial losses from cybercrimes against children touched $660,000 (roughly Rs. 50,313,400) in the US.

In a bid to counter cybercrime against children, including threat posed by online games such as the 'blue whale' and 'momo' challenge, the government has launched its own game application.
