"In January 2016, we wrapped up the film's shoot and didn't have anything to do. So, Fatima and I decided to go on an India darshan. That's when Aamir Khan asked us if we would want to intern with him," said Sanya Malhotra

Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao said, "You may have noticed he has started growing beard. I am not sure. But it looks interesting to me"

Dangal is a sports biopic and stars Aamir as real life wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who raises his daughters to be wrestlers like him.

The two hand-picked interns will shadow the actor throughout his daily work routine - his shoots, meetings, reading sessions, rehearsals and everything else that goes on behind-the-scenes.

Aamir sized upto 90 kilos or more to play the older version of Mahavir Phogat, the wrestler that the film is based on. He has lost the extra weight to play the young Mahavir. It took Aamir six months and a rigorous workout regime - which included running and cycling - to get back in shape

"I have been concentrating completely on the weight loss. Have given six months before I start shooting for the final schedule of Dangal," said Aamir Khan. He added: "I am only halfway there. I need to lose 12 kilos more before I get into the Ghajini shape"

Aamir Khan encountered mob fury while shooting on a busy street in Ludhiana for Dangal. Mr Perfectionist had to spend a considerable amount of time in one of the houses in the vicinity even after the shoot wrapped up

Police officer Rupinder Kaur said that security around the actor, his hotel and shooting venue have been increased. Aamir's film unit has also ensured private security around him at all times. Shooting for Dangal will continue in Ludhiana for a few days more.
