Left embarrassed by articles in a party organ criticising first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru's policies on Kashmir and China and calling Congress president Sonia Gandhi's father a 'fascist soldier', Congress has issued a show cause notice to the magazine's editor and Mumbai party chief Sanjay Nirupam.

It is a little over a year since a natural calamity of catastrophic proportions hit Uttarakhand but people in the affected areas are still singing paeans to the bravery of Darshan Lal who saved hundreds of lives in Kedar valley when the deluge struck.

An army jawan today shot dead his two seniors, including a Junior Commissioned Officer, before committing suicide at a forward post along Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
