The Thane house of a man held by the National Investigation Agency in a 2022 case involving fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his aides has been attached as "proceeds of crime", an official said on Monday.

Two persons have been held for allegedly taking several lakh rupees from an aide of gangster Dawood Ibrahim with the promise of protecting him from arrest at the hands of the National Investigation Agency(NIA), a Mumbai police official said.

Fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi, who was remanded in custody till March 29 by a UK court on Wednesday, is likely to be held in a separate cell in Her Majesty's Prison Wandsworth, which is one of the largest prisons in western Europe.
