Dead Chinkaras

Two Indian gazelles (chinkaras), apparently attacked by dogs, died in two separate incidents in Pokaran town and a village in Jaisalmer district near here, a forest official said today.

Rajasthan High Court, which overturned previous verdicts that sentenced the 50-year-old star to jail, said: "There is no evidence that the protected animals found dead were killed by Mr Khan's licensed gun"

Raising questions on the forensic report of blood samples taken from a hotel where the dead chinkaras were allegedly taken by actor Salman Khan and his aides for cleaning and cooking, his counsel told Rajasthan High Court near Jodhpur that samples were taken 17 days after the incident and questioned their linking with Khan.
