Tipplers in Delhi may face problems in getting their favourite brands in the next one-and-half months as around 40 per cent of liquor vends in the national capital that are run privately will shut down from October 1.

The Delhi government has permitted home delivery of liquor for orders placed through mobile apps and via online portals. Last year, states including Kolkata, Maharashtra, Odisha, Siliguri, and West Bengal allowed online delivery of liquor through platforms such as Amazon, BigBasket, Swiggy, and Zomato.
