Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), which operates CNG stations across the Delhi-NCR, has decided to decrease the prices of CNG in the region from Sunday.

CNG Price Today: The price of CNG for automobiles has been reduced by Rs 1.53 per kg to Rs. 42.70 per kg in Delhi and by Rs 1.70 per kg to Rs 48.38 per kg in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.

Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said in Rajya Sabha today that the government is in the process of setting up 69 more gas station in the national capital, however, land availability is a major concern. The move came amid concerns over long queues at Indraprastha Gas (IGL).

Indraprastha Gas (IGL), India's biggest city gas retailer, is looking at setting up CNG dispensing stations within residential housing complexes to ease queues at CNG pumps, its Managing Director ES Ranganathan said.

Indraprastha Gas Ltd, the sole retailer of CNG to automobiles in the national capital, today said it has set up a record 72 CNG filling stations in first four months of 2016, to meet the rising demand for the fuel.

The Supreme Court today extended the deadline for all taxis in the National Capital Region to convert to CNG mode from March 1 to March 31 and directed the Centre to set up 104 gas stations in ten districts of NCR.

IGL has already undertaken a massive expansion programme in NCR. 290 CNG stations are currently in operation in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. IGL is supplying PNG to nearly 4,00,000 households in Delhi and NCR towns.

Delhi High Court set aside an arbitral award against GAIL saying HCC was not "coerced" to give the NCC.
