A senior bureaucrat from Bihar recorded a video declaring his intent to kill himself. Mukesh Pandey said in the video that is nearly five minutes long, that nobody should be blamed for his suicide though he talks of tension between his parents and his wife, and said she and he were polar opposites "like coal and cheese."

A senior IAS officer from Bihar was found dead close to railway tracks in Ghaziabad near Delhi on Thursday night. A suicide note was found next to the mutilated body of Mukesh Pandey, described by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as an "efficient administrator and sensitive officer".

A 25-year-old Indian Administrative Service (IAS) aspirant committed suicide here over a failed relationship, police said on Tuesday. Amit Singh, who hails from Agra, was preparing for the IAS. The former Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi student hanged himself from the ceiling at his rented house in Govindpuri on Sunday night.
