DTC on Monday cancelled the Delhi-Lahore bus service as Pakistan decided to discontinue it in the wake of India revoking Jammu and Kashmir's special status, said a senior official of the public transporter.

Pakistan has suspended the Delhi-Lahore-Delhi 'Dosti' (friendship) bus service, after suspending two cross-border trains, in the wake of India's decision revoking Jammu and Kashmir's special status and bifurcating the state into two Union Territories, a senior Pakistani minister has said.

For the first time since the Pakistan-India Dosti bus service began 15 years ago between New Delhi and Lahore, Pakistan has restricted its entry, citing increased "terror threats".
