"Some Climbed On Bodies To Get Out": Survivor On Expressway Bus Tragedy

The double-decker bus with 53 passengers on board was on its way to Delhi from Lucknow when it hit a divider and fell into the 40-feet-deep gap between two flyovers on the Yamuna Expressway near milestone 161 (Jharna nallah) under Etmadpur police jurisdiction of Agra district at around 4.15 am.

Delhi-Lucknow highway gets flooded, traffic comes to a halt

About two kilometres of National Highway 24 which connects Delhi and Lucknow has been submerged under water. The Moradabad-Ranpur stretch got flooded after about one lakh cusecs water was released from the Kalagarh Dam in Uttarakhand last night. Traffic has come to a halt since midnight although no vehicles have been washed away.
