A senior Delhi Metro official has been arrested by the CBI for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant for issuance of allotment letters for two shops at Badarpur metro station in Delhi.

Six Metro stations in central Delhi, which were earlier announced to be closed for 10 hours due to security concerns over protest by Arvind Kejriwal and supporters, remained open throughout the day today. A DMRC spokesman said the stations remained open throughout the day after Delhi Police revised their advisory.

The Delhi Police has denied permission to RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal for his 'gherao protest' in the capital tomorrow. Mr Kejriwal has called for the public to protest at the homes of the Prime Minister and BJP president Nitin Gadkari on Sunday. He blames the two leaders equally for corruption scandals.
