Swift response by Delhi Police personnel saved three people, including an 87-year-old woman, who were trapped in their house after a fire broke out. The policemen rushed to save the family in south Delhi's Greater Kailash-1 after they got a distress call at 6:55 am today.

As part of efforts to enhance security for women and respond promptly to their distress calls, Delhi Police has revamped its helpline number 100 by increasing the number of lines from 60 to 100 and installed Global Positioning System (GPS) devices in 12,000 autos and all Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC)/cluster buses.
