An 18-year-old woman was allegedly raped here after being drugged by two men, who were her friends on a social media platform, police said on Friday.

"True love" between adolescents cannot be controlled through the rigor of the law or state action, the Delhi High Court has observed while quashing a kidnapping and rape case against a man who had eloped with a girl nine years ago.

A rape accused - out of jail on bail - attacked the minor daughter of the complainant with acid and then died by suicide in central Delhi yesterday, the police said.

A 17-year-old girl was attacked with acid by her 54-year old neighbour in the national capital on Thursday, said police officials.

The Delhi Police has registered a fresh case after the minor girl who was allegedly raped by suspended Delhi government officer Premoday Khakha alleged that she was sexually assaulted by few other persons as well, officials said on Friday.

Intervening in the matter of a teenager's sexual abuse by a now-suspended Delhi government officer, the Delhi High Court today told police to protect her identity and asked if she was raped by other men too.

Premoday Khakha, the senior Women and Child Development Department officer accused of raping the teen daughter of his late friend, has been sent to judicial custody for one day.

Delhi minister Saurabh Bhardwaj on Tuesday came down heavily on the Delhi Police for not allowing the Delhi Commission for Women chief to meet the teen who was allegedly subjected to repeated sexual assaults by a senior government official.

He also dealt with rights and welfare of vulnerable groups and children, according to his social media profiles and official documents. In his work profile on LinkedIn, Premoday Khakha says he aims at "building relationships to protect humanity."
