The Delhi High Court yesterday ordered Jawaharlal Nehru University to respond to a petition challenging a single judge's order which dismissed student's plea against the university's new admission policy for the academic year 2017-18 based on a 2016 UGC regulation.

With seats still remaining vacant, Delhi University on Wednesday announced it will be releasing three more cut-offs for admission to undergraduate courses with the sixth list being released on Saturday, a month after the varsity started the new academic session.

It was not just the cut-offs which kept Delhi University aspirants worried but also the varsity's website which crashed on day one of the admissions playing a spoilsport in DU's maiden effort at making the entire admission process online.

Over 2.50 lakh students have applied for admission to various undergraduate course of Delhi University the online registration for which ended on Wednesday, with English Honours turning out to be the most sought-after subject.
