Air India today operated a relief flight from Mumbai to fly its Delhi-San Francisco flight passengers, who are stranded at the Krasnoyarsk International Airport (KJA) in Russia since Thursday.

A San Francisco-bound Air India flight from Delhi was diverted to Krasnoyarsk international airport in Russia on Thursday due to a technical issue, the airline said.

Air India has offered an apology voucher worth $350 (Rs 29,203) to each passenger of the flight that took off from Delhi to San Francisco after a delay of more than 30 hours.

Air India was issued a notice by the Aviation Ministry after a 20-hour delay on a Delhi-San Francisco flight.

A passenger onboard a Delhi-San Francisco Air India flight earlier this month suffered burn injuries after a cabin crew member accidentally spilled coffee on her. The airline has apologised for the incident.
