A two-and-a-half-year old girl succumbed to dengue fever in Tirunelveli district on Thursday as the toll in the virus outbreak in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu rose to 40, officials said. Eighteen patients have been tested positive for dengue fever in Tirunelveli Medical college Hospital, they said.
