Deonar Dumpyard

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi toured the Deonar garbage dumpyard located in the eastern suburb of Mumbai, where several fires have broken out over the last few months, sending toxic smoke into the region.

The carcass of a 10-foot-long humpback dolphin washed ashore at Marine Drive around 4pm yesterday. Instead of informing forest department officials, BMC workers took the body to the Deonar dumpyard.
