The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday conducted searches at about a dozen premises of DHFL and other linked firms in connection with its money laundering probe against Iqbal Mirchi, the aide of global terrorist Dawood Ibrahim, officials said.

Dewan Housing Finance Corp Ltd (DHFL) was the worst hit among the housing finance companies as it erased $1.12 billion from its market capitalisation.

DHFL said it will offer the interest rate for loans up to Rs 30 lakh which is categorised under affordable housing, thereby enabling home ownership in the low and middle income segment.
