Two years after smoke billowed from a fire in the basement, which smothered to death more than 90 people, mostly patients, a part of the AMRI Hospital in Dhakuria reopened its doors today for treating the sick.

La Martiniere student found dead in Kolkata lake

The body of 17-year-old Riju Basak was found in south Kolkata's Dhakuria Lake this morning. Riju, a student of Class 11, at the prestigious La Martiniere for Boys, was missing from Wednesday.

Three days after a deadly fire engulfed it killing 91 people, the posh AMRI Hospital at Dhakuria in south Kolkata has temporarily withdrawn patient-related services at two of its wings that continued to function after the tragedy.
