Maharashtra Minister Dhananjay Munde has denied allegations of rape by a woman, claiming he has been in a relationship with her sister for years. The allegations have landed him in a controversy with the opposition BJP calling for his resignation.

NCP leader Dhananjay Munde got relief today from the Supreme Court which stayed the Bombay High Court's order directing registration of a case against him for alleged illegal purchase of a government land.

The Supreme Court today agreed to hear on June 14 a plea of Maharashtra lawmaker Dhananjay Munde against the Bombay High Court order directing registration of a case against him in an alleged illegal purchase of government land case.

The Bombay High Court has directed the police to file a case against leader of opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council Dhananjay Munde in connection with alleged illegal purchase of government land in Beed district.
