Digital Meter Printers

In a first-of-its-kind development in the country, auto-rickshaws in Chennai will be fitted with a meter with global positioning system (GPS) and electronic digital printer, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa said on Sunday.

The Calcutta High Court today directed that taxis in the metropolis which did not apply for digital meter printers by tomorrow, would not be allowed on the roads from Sunday.
