"But I think what affected the Friday and Saturday collections were the ban in Rajasthan and MP. Almost 40 per cent of the theaters were not showing the film and we resumed on Sunday morning. It's all mathematics, how many theaters we are running in we will get the collections according to that," saod Rohit Shetty

Bajirao Mastani's strong showing at the box office has lifted the shares of its Eros International, the distributor of the movie starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.

"Bajirao Mastani is one of those rare combinations of a film that is being appreciated at every level," said Ranveer. For Deepika, it was one particular comment that stayed with her. After two days, Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale is still ahead of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani. However, Bajirao Mastani's silver lining is that the film has witnessed a slight growth in collections whereas Dilwale collected the same as it did on the opening day

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani has also been received well by the critics. In his review for NDTV, Saibal Chatterjee wrote, "Bajirao Mastani is, in many respects, Bhansali's most subversive film to date. Its central message is that all religions preach love but love has no religion"

Trade analyst Komal Nahta, who announced the news on Twitter, wrote: Opening of #Dilwale ranges from good to very good to excellent.
