Delhi will switch 80 percent of its bus fleet to electric vehicles by 2025, according to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The state currently has 7,379 buses, out of which 300 are electric vehicles. The government is also working on installing charging points for e-buses at depots, the chief minister said.

Google Maps introduced real-time bus service information feature for Android and iOS users in Delhi. It has teamed up with Delhi Transport Ministry, Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi, and Lepton Software for this feature.

With an aim of tackling 'huge shortage' of buses in the national capital, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is likely to run buses under the cluster scheme on the lines of Delhi Integrated Multi-Model Transit System (DIMTS) which currently operates orange buses.

Facing land crunch for bus depots, the Aam Aadmi Party led Delhi government has sought 500 acres of land from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for parking 10,000 buses in the national capital.

From June 1, all public transport vehicles in the national capital will need to have GPS installed to be able to renew their respective fitness certificates.
