Officials of Directorate of Revenue Intellegence (DRI) have seized gold ornaments and gold bars weighing three-and-a-half kilograms and valued at over Rs 96 lakh from a passenger who arrived at Karippur International airport in an Emirates flight.

A CBI court dismissed the bail plea of C Rajan, Additional Director General in Directorate of Revenue Intellegence, who was arrested on charges of accepting bribe to defreeze a bank account, agreeing with the contention that he was an influential person.
