UGC has developed a mechanism for transparent admission process where students enrolling in ODL/ Online programmes can register on UGC-DEB web portal.

The change, effective from September 2024, is aimed at ensuring that students enrol only in approved Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs).

HEIs can now register till June 15, 2024 for offering programmes under ODL and Online mode.

The university body has released a total of 80 universities that are offering courses in online and distance learning mode.

ODL Courses: Medical, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and other Para-Medical disciplines, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dental cannot be studied in Online and ODL mode.

The institutes interested can apply on the official website of the advisory body to obtain the No Objection Certificate.

The admission for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes has been extended to October 20, 2023.
