The farmers' protests against the Centre's farm laws on Wednesday led to the shutting down of key roads connecting Noida and Delhi. The arterial Kalindi Kunj route that links Noida to Delhi's Okhla had been shut for traffic movement, the Delhi Traffic Police informed in the evening. It was later opened.

The Delhi Police have once again appealed to those protesting the Citizenship Amendment Act at Shaheen Bagh to vacate the area, this time citing the hardships caused to students in "reaching their schools, coaching centres and private tuitions".

The Delhi Police on Friday appealed to protesters on the Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch to move their ongoing demonstration against the Citizenship Amendment Act to another location in the "larger interests of the public".
