Drunk Bihar Groom

A bride in Bihar's Chhapra called off her wedding as the groom allegedly turned up drunk at the mandap or wedding dais. Rinki Kumari, in her twenties, told her family to ask the groom, Bablu Kumar, to leave as he came staggering down the path on Saturday.

A bride-to-be in Bihar declined to tie the knot when she learnt that her would-be husband had arrived in an inebriated condition, after which the groom, a police constable, was arrested.

Left at the altar - alone and drunk. That was the fate of two grooms in normally patriarchal Bihar when their would-have-been brides and their families walked out on them because they were simply too sozzled.
