A 14-year-old girl from Jharkhand is enjoying her days in freedom. In March last year, she was rescued from a home in Delhi's Dwarka where she spent eight months as a domestic help, while the doctor couple who had allegedly locked her up were holidaying in Thailand.

Doctor couple accused of locking up teen ready to pay Rs 75000 as compensation

The doctor-couple, accused of illegally confining and assaulting their domestic help, has said that they are willing to pay Rs 75000 as compensation to the teenager. The couple's remand in police custody has also been extended to three days now.

They were arrested earlier in the day, after they were apparently found by the police in Dwarka.
