A Parliamentary panel examining the Lokpal bill may recommend that the proposed anti-corruption watchdog be a single window stop for probing all corruption complaints against government functionaries by ending multiplicity of investigating agencies to investigate graft cases.

The government said on Wednesday that it has taken up with US authorities the issue of adverse impact of the American legislation that levies higher visa fee on Indian IT companies.

The country's exports to Europe has increased to $33.15 billion in the first seven months of the current fiscal from $31.28 billion in the same period last year, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry E M Sudarsana Natchiappan said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.

Joining issue with Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who blamed the Centre for energy shortfall faced by Tamil Nadu, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry E M Sudarsana Natchiappan today asserted that adequate power has been ensured to the state by the Centre.
