The Supreme Court on Friday disposed of the petition of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren seeking interim bail to campaign for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren moved a bail petition before a special court in Ranchi today, alleging that his arrest by the ED was politically motivated and a part of a well-orchestrated conspiracy to coerce him into joining the BJP.

The Jharkhand High Court has scheduled the hearing for the petition filed by former Chief Minister Hemant Soren on February 5.

Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), moved the Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday night.
