The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday unveiled its electric vehicle (EV) policy 2023 which aims to garner investments to the tune of Rs. 50,000 crore and generate 1.50 lakh jobs, in a boost to the EV industry. Chief Minister M K Stalin formally released the new policy in the presence of government officials at the Secretariat here.

Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed plans to open a software engineering centre in Shannon, Republic of Ireland, in 2018. The company is creating 150 jobs and the people in this centre will work alongside Jaguar Land Rover's engineering team in the UK.

Siemens is a global powerhouse focusing on the areas of electrification, automation and digitalisation.
