The Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (IAMM) has urged the Delhi government to issue an advisory clarifying Dengue ELISA is not required to start treatment of the vector-borne disease or for getting admitted to hospitals.

As Delhi continues to grapple with a raging dengue crisis, doctors in government hospitals have started providing standard treatment required to alleviate symptoms in a suspected dengue patient without waiting for the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay or ELISA test reports so as to keep a check on the rising cases.
