DMK chief M Karunidhi today ridiculed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for her decision to construct a memorial for British engineer Penny Cuick, who had built the Mullaperiyar dam, when the state is faced with several burning issues.

Amid the simmering Mullaperiar dam row, Tamil Nadu government today announced setting up of a memorial for British engineer Col Penny Cuick, who had constructed the dam at Lower Camp in Theni district over 116 years ago.
