Apple announced on Thursday that it will soon allow iPhone and iPad users in the European Union (EU) region new options to change default apps, delete first-party apps, and more. The decision was made in compliance with the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA) which prohibits tech companies from practising anti-competitive policies.

Apple will soon allow third party developers in select EU and some other regions to access the NFC technology on iPhone devices. The development could also benefit crypto companies and associated industries. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire has said that Apple's NFC feature will enable Web3 wallet makers to allow tap-to-pay transactions.

The government of India will be taking some more time in following other regions like the EU and the UAE in presenting a detailed crypto rulebook. As per Chaudhary, all of the G20 nations are currently in a phase where they are expected to analyse the pros and cons that crypto could bring.
