Turkish coastguard officials recovered the bodies of women and children washed up on a beach today after yet another migrant boat trying to reach Europe sank, leaving up to 33 dead, according to local media.

Twelve bodies were found on Turkey's western coast and 26 people were rescued on Tuesday after a boat carrying migrants bound for Greece capsized, the Turkish coastguard said in a statement.

Hungary will close at midnight (2200 GMT) its border with Croatia, a major entry point for tens of thousands of migrants bound for northern Europe, Hungary's foreign minister said Friday.
