Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today directed officials to implement e-office system in the state secretariat from October 1 and asked them to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for the same by June 15.

Government has also directed all its departments to set up its e-offices under which files would be sent through emails in order to curb the practice of corruption.

Any file which lands up at Jawaharlal Nehru University Vice Chancellor's desk for his approval is now greeted with a stamp which says "kindly send through e-office system," a move aimed at ensuring paperless administration.

The government said that in the current paper-based file system, substantial time is spent in creating, searching for, and transferring documents.

Delhi government is all set to go "paperless" as the state Cabinet today gave its approval for implementing the e-office system in every department in what has been claimed would be a first in the country.
