WhatsApp Privacy Policy Update Violates Indian IT Laws: Centre Tells Delhi High Court

WhatsApp privacy policy that came into effect on May 15 is in violation of the Indian Information Technology (IT) law and rules, Centre told the Delhi High Court on Monday. WhatsApp, opposing the contention, said it was conforming to Indian IT law and rules.

The teenage shooter who fired at protesters near Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi on Thursday has been charged with attempted murder, the police said today. The 17-year-old, a class 12 student from Uttar Pradesh, has also been charged under the Arms Act.
