Fake China Products

China's penchant for manufacturing fake products and copying brands isn't exactly a secret, which has brought upon them not only disgrace but also the tag of 'global copycats'. While fake phones, watches and other electronic devices were regular affairs till now, they have now turned to copying cars as well.

China's Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, the world's largest e-commerce company, on Tuesday said it spent over 1 billion yuan ($160.7 million) combating fake goods and for improving customer protection from the beginning of 2013 to the end of November.

Tales of shady business practices abound in China - fake revenues, phony invoices, sham factories - but until recently, the problem seemed confined mostly to Chinese companies. But not for long.

A Chinese technology company says that "Made in China" products are being counterfeited overseas.
