A case has been registered against four persons for allegedly cheating a homoeopath in Gujarat's Mehsana who paid Rs 16.32 lakh to get admission to a medical course in Uttar Pradesh but received a fake degree instead.

A woman died allegedly due to "gross negligence" in treatment at a hospital in Greater Noida run by a "doctor" whose MBBS degree was found to be fake, police said today.

Police has arrested a man, Om Pal Sharma, practicing as a doctor since 10 years, after his MBBS degree was allegedly found to be fake.
