Eleven farmers unwilling to part with agricultural land under the land pooling scheme of the erstwhile Chandrababu Naidu government to develop the capital Amaravati had committed suicide after ''harassment'', Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy said on Tuesday.

Under the scheme, interest subvention is provided to NABARD, regional rural banks, cooperative banks, public sector banks and scheduled private sector banks for providing short-term credit to farmers at a subsidised rate of interest.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced a Rs 10,000-crore scheme for the overall development of farmers in the state.
