An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) posted at Fatehgarh Churian police station near Batala was suspended for "misconduct" after he touched the feet of Punjab minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa at his Qadian residence, police said today.

Twenty two years after a man from a Punjab village was kidnapped from his house, police registered a case against four unidentified persons following the directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
