"Padmavati" Cleared For UK Release But Producers Say Won't Do It

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavati", which is caught in a flux over protests and bans in three states, has been cleared for release in the UK by the country's Censor Board. The film's producers, however, say the film will not be screened in British theatres before it is cleared by India's censor board.

Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna was caught on camera this morning assaulting a fan who accidentally pushed against him during a political rally. The film star, who is a senior leader of the ruling Telugu Desam Party or TDP, was on a door-to-door campaign in the Anantpur district of Andhra Pradesh.
