Third Car-Free Day Held In Delhi Today

The national capital today observed its third "car-free day" in as many months but the first one on a weekday as Delhi government gears up to roll out the odd-even restriction on the movement of cars in order to ensure clean air in the city.

The first Car Free Day in the national capital led to a 60 per cent drop in the air pollution on the car-free stretch in comparison to the levels observed on a normal day, a report released by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) said today.
