Chandigarh on Tuesday witnessed a new world record for having the largest human chain waving the National Flag of India in a cricket stadium in Sector 16.

The wave of summits also saw the only Ukrainian climber this season, Antonina Samoilova reach the top with her country's flag, her expedition company 14 Peaks Expedition confirmed.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday was a proud witness to over 75,000 people simultaneously waving the Indian national flag at this semi-urban town in Bihar, where the BJP sought to make history by breaking Pakistan's record set 18 years ago.
